Come on this tour and immerse yourself in the distinctive feel and vibes of Joo Chiat, the first Heritage town in Singapore! Learn about the history of the area and the various communities, especially the Peranakans that have been living here since the 1920s. Visit a popular local Market where people from all over Singapore come for its excellent hawker stalls, unique products and fresh produce and spices. Be awe by the beautiful baroque architecture of the conservation shophouses and the many popular restaurants and coffee shops that lined this 'foodie' street. As we amble along, see some traditional trades that are still operating in the area. We end the tour at a beautiful shophouse that have been converted into a museum which showcases the very interesting Peranakan Culture and if we are lucky, the owner himself may be there to explain about the intricacies of exhibits.
