Image result for deepavali singapore 2019Deepavali – the Festival of Lights, the most important festival for the Hindus. Come on this walk with our guide Charlotte to find out how the Hindus celebrated this very colourful holiday.

Indulge in all your senses as you walk through this fascinating Ethnic Area. Check out Serangoon Road and its back streets, where you will find a myriad of interesting shops, spices, textiles and garland makers etc. Learn about the history of the area and see the beautiful architecture of the colourful terrace houses. Hear about the Gods in the oldest Hindu temple in the area and witness how the devotees do their prayers. 

You have the option of staying on for lunch at the oldest vegetarian restaurant in Little India.

Please dress modestly and put on comfortable shoes which are easy to slip on and off; don’t forget umbrellas and cameras!

Please take note of the following requirements from the Singapore government:

  1. Maximum group size of 10 pax (excluding tourist guide), with maximum 2 pax allowed in any one sub-group and the sub groups maintain at least 1m safe distance and no intermingling at all times.
  2. To be on the safe side we as German Association accept only participants who have communicated their status as “vaccinated” to us before the tour. This way, we can have easy and enjoyable tours as you know them. Thanks for your understanding!
  3. Masks to be worn at all times.
  4. The tour will be subjected to approval by authorities and might be cancelled at anytime.
  5. Our guide is not required to take temperatures at the start of the tour but  we would be grateful if the participants could take their own temperature before leaving the house to join the tour.
