Wir laden Euch herzlich ein zum 5. Salon Singapur (online) mit der deutsch-vietnamesischen Journalistin und Autorin Khuê Pham
Die preisgekrönte Journalistin des ZEIT-Magazins berichtet über sich selbst:
Ich wurde 1982 in Berlin geboren und bin in einer fünfköpfigen, vietnamesischen Familie aufgewachsen... Ich habe die legendäre Vogue-Chefin Anna Wintour interviewt, aber auch einen Brief an meinen Sohn Neo über seine Herkunft geschrieben... In meinen Büchern schreibe ich über das, was mich persönlich bewegt: die großen Themen Heimat und Identität... "Wo auch immer ihr seid" ist mein erster Roman und eine literarische Annäherung an meine eigene Familiengeschichte.
Wir hatten die Gelegenheit, für die aktuelle Ausgabe der Impulse ein Interview mit Khuê Pham zu führen, als sie an der GESS und beim Singapore Writers Festival zu Gast war. Im Salon Singapur freuen wir uns nun, online von der Autorin aus ihrem Roman zu hören, der bis zu den Zeiten des Vietnam-Krieges zurückreicht: Die junge Deutsch-Vietnamesin Kiêu interessiert sich eigentlich nicht viel für die Herkunft ihrer Familie, bis sie eines Tages eine Facebook-Nachricht eines angeblichen Onkels aus Kalifornien bekommt...
Wir werden mit Khuê Pham über Identitätsfindung und Familiengeschichten "zwischen den Kontinenten" sprechen, mit all den dramatischen, aber Gottseidank auch humorigen Besonderheiten. Mehr über die Autorin könnt Ihr vorab auf ihrer Website erfahren.
