Come on this tour with our guide Charlotte to discover some hidden gems in the western part of Singapore.
Tiger Balm- the panacea that everyone has heard of and used for all our aches and pains. But do you know that there is a Tiger Balm Garden built in 1937 by the two Burmese brothers, who popularised the Balm? Better known as Haw Par Villa, it is like no other place in the world, with hundreds of statues and dioramas dramatising Chinese legends and folklore. The sculptures are meant to be a reminder to ‘walk the straight and narrow’ and are lessons on virtues and morality, where in the past, legions of parents would bring their children to impress upon them these values.
Next, we will check out an organic shop in the biggest wholesale centre in Singapore for vegetables and fruits. We will get a short shop tour, possibly sample some products and for those who shop, there will be a 10%. If the restrictions are eased by then, we could see the other parts of the centre which includes various sections for dried goods, vegetables and fruits.
