Wir freuen sehr über die Möglichkeit, auch den Mitgliedern und Freunden der German Association ein außergewöhnliches Konzert des großartigen Schweizer Organisten der Genfer Kathedrale anzubieten!
Laßt Euch vom Klang der historischen Walker-Pfeifenorgel in der Orchard Road Presbyterian Church (ORPC) in den Händen des Schweizer Organisten Vincent Thévenaz inspirieren. Vincent Thévenaz ist ein vielseitiger Musiker: Titularorganist und Glockenspieler der Kathedrale St-Pierre in Genf, Orgel- und Improvisationslehrer an der Haute école de musique de Genève, Musikwissenschaftler, Dirigent und Arrangeur.
Neben der Orgel spielt Thévenaz auch Harmonium sowie die meisten Tasteninstrumente, mit einer Vorliebe für seltene und originelle Instrumente. Als anerkannter Spezialist für das Harmonium besitzt er eine Sammlung hochwertiger historischer Instrumente, die er sowohl im Konzert als auch im Ensemble spielt. Seine Fähigkeiten führten ihn zu Auftritten mit Leonidas Kavakos und Yuja Wang, mit dem Scharoun Ensemble der Berliner Philharmoniker und zu den Komplimenten von Simon Rattle: "Von dir gespielt, wird das Harmonium zu einem lebendigen und aufregenden Instrument”.
Der Eintritt vom Konzert ist frei und es wird gesponsert von: ASBS Pte Ltd und Twinna Holdings SA sowie der Orchard Road Presbyterien Church und dem Singapore Chapter der American Guilt of Organists.
