Come on this tour with Charlotte to learn about the traditions and rituals associated with the most important Muslim festival, Hari Raya Puasa, which celebrates the ending of a month of fasting.
Wander through some of the lesser-known paths and byways of the Muslim area of Kampong Glam and hear fascinating snippets of information.
Visit the ‘Leaning Mosque of Singapore’ and learn about the history of the area which was once the abode of the Malay Kings who ruled Singapore. Why was Singapore sold? Who were the men behind the Deal? Along the way, we will come across various interesting businesses, including an antique shop with lots of nick necks and another with exotic perfumes. We will pass by areas where tombstone carvers and blacksmiths once plied their trades, now fill with restaurants and businesses. Experience the festive atmosphere when we stop for tea and get to taste some of the delicious snacks.

Please note: As there will be a lot of walking, please put on comfortable footwear that is easy to remove at the entrance to the mosques and bring your umbrella and lots of drinking water.
Dress code: Men are required to wear long pants and short or long-sleeved tops. Women are required to wear long pants or long skirts up to the ankle and long-sleeved top.
