The MBS offers shopping, F & B outlets, two casinos, a convention centre and attractions, but there is much more to discover.
When the famous architect Moshe Safdi designed the Marina Bay Sands he collaborated with international renowned artists in order to enhance the building he designed with their unique artworks, which we will discover during our tour.
The architect launched the “Art Path” project in April 2010 with eight large-scale art installations which were commissioned when the project initially started and today there are a total of eleven of them for visitors to enjoy and explore.
The Art Path creates shapes and moods from the hotel towers to the exterior of the buildings and is an integrated part of the architectural process.
Our (new) tourguide Sarah, a contemporary art docent, will take us through the hotel towers, shopping mall and promenade and will share along the way the various artists’ backgrounds, the inspiration of making the artworks and how they were chosen for specific sites as well as the process of installing them.
At the end of this tour, you will have a different perspective and appreciation of this iconic building.
