A Unique Peranakan Heritage & Art Experience
at the Peranakan Mansion, Joo Chiat – Singapore’s charming heritage district.
Step into the colourful world of Singapore’s Peranakan heritage and spend a delightful morning surrounded by art, history, and culture!
At this hands-on workshop, guests will:
- Learn about the fascinating history of Peranakan shophouses – their unique blend of Chinese, Malay and Colonial influences.
- Stroll along Koon Seng Road, home to Singapore’s most iconic and vibrant Peranakan shophouses.
- Paint & colour your very own Peranakan heritage shophouse – all art materials provided.
- Enjoy delicious Peranakan kuehs (traditional cakes) and fragrant tea.
- Dress up in elegant Kebayas (for ladies) or classic Batik shirts (for men) and take memorable photos in the nostalgic Peranakan Mansion setting.
- Immerse yourself in the rich ambience of this lovingly preserved 1928 Peranakan home and uncover the stories behind its stunning architecture and décor.
After the workshop, you’re welcome to stay a little longer – perfect your masterpiece, enjoy another cup of tea, or simply chat with new friends.
Everything you need – paints, brushes, and paper – will be provided.

The workshop will be held in English.
Member: SGD 105,- (including all materials, dress up, tea and kuehs)
Non-member: SGD 125,- (including all materials, dress up, tea and kuehs)
Please bring a water bottle and a snack if needed.
Please note that a minimum number of participants is required for this workshop to proceed and it will be cancelled should the required minimum number not be met 14 days before the tour date. Your ticket will be refunded in that case.
