The ancient art of Feng Shui, literally translated as ‘wind and water’, originated from China thousands of years ago. It started off as a science, by studying the living environment of a person, following the principle of humans living in harmony with nature, and how it could be enhanced to make life better for the people living or working there.
Feng Shui practitioners believe there are five dragons that dominate the landscape of Singapore, and certain types of businesses/organisations seem to converge in each of the 'Dragon's domain'. These domains, together with the architecture of the buildings, are believed to have influenced how well companies are doing. On this tour, we will learn how Feng Shui has been supposedly incorporated in the exterior as well as interior designs of some prominent buildings, and understand how arrangements of certain objects are believed to enhance the 'luck' of the buildings and consequently the people who spend time in them.
